Privacy Policy

What we Do:

We collect the information necessary to process your order efficiently. Sensitive data like credit card information is encrypted.This information is used by the girls in the vineyard and the companies we retain to help us fulfill your order. For example, UPS needs to know where to go and the bank needs to know what card to debit. These companies are held to our standard as well.

We do everything we can to protect your information at all times. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

We will send you as much or as little news about the girls as you tell us you want and if you say “Don’t” we respect that too! (just send us an email to don’t@thegirlsinthevineyard.com to opt out)

We will do our best to stay abreast of best practices to secure any information you share with us and we will update this policy as appropriate in order to uphold that promise.

What we Don’t Do…ever!:

We will never, ever use information you provide to sell to or share with anyone.

We won’t put cookies in your computer unless you want us to.

We don’t police the world. If we provide links to other websites that we think might be of interest to you it doesn’t mean we have thoroughly vetted those sites. Surfer beware.

Shipping Notice:

All wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wines. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. Wines may be sold only to persons who are at least 21 years old. In placing your order, you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old. When your wine is delivered to you, you will be required to show identification proving that you are at least 21 years old. There will be additional costs charged to you for packages that are returned. All shipments are insured against loss or breakage for the first $100 in value

Shipments of Wine: 
Due to prohibition era legal restrictions on shipments of wine and other alcoholic beverages, we are only permitted to ship on your behalf to the following states: AK, CA,CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, LA, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY,OR, SC, TX, VA, WA, WI, and WV Florida has 5 dry counties where we are not allowed to ship: Lafayette, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee, and Washington. Some states have limitations as to how much wine can be shipped to one household. We will contact you if this applies to you. Direct shipping laws do vary from time to time so please contact us if your state is not on the above list.

Orders are processed as quickly as possible and generally within 24 hours of being received. We like to make your shipments on Monday and Tuesday in order to prevent your wine from sitting in a storage area over the weekend. All shipments are shipped ground so please allow5-7 business days for normal delivery.

During the summer it can be hard to avoid in-transit temperature extremes. If you don’t want the girls to get heat stroke we offer a two day air option for an additional $75 flat rate/case.We may also delay shipments if the heat is excessive.

Returns and Exchanges:

If you aren’t happy we aren’t happy. If the girls don’t work for you then you may return them and we will refund your purchase price to the credit card that you used to make the purchase minus the donation made on your behalf. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your bill. So if you have a problem:

1. Please contact the winery as soon as possible either by phone(707-927-4343) or email (bummer@thegirlsinthevineyard.com).

2. Tell us what went wrong.

3. If the complaint has to do with freight damage, we will work on your behalf to get your money back from the freight company or, at our discretion, replace the lost product.
